Traditional Publishing

At this time our funding for individual printing projects relies on successful Kickstarter campaigns or other crowd-sourced funding as well as donations. We provide editing, book layout, optional cover design support, promotional releases, and social media support for a competitive fee. As we obtain more authors and have more financial backing for print runs, more traditional printing options and funding will be made available.

Spellhawks Press would require first print run rights, which would fall back to the writer or artist at the end of that print run or a web release of six months. This is subject to change as our company develops and we become more established in the publishing market.

Web Publishing

Payment is $20 for web fiction or articles accepted for publication by Spellhawks Press, regardless of size. Accepted submissions are subject to editing for grammar. The author will also be added to our Authors page.

Submissions must be geared toward comics, graphic novels, book or movie reviews, world building, and tabletop or RPG gaming. It is expected that submissions will be spell checked and formatted in a Word document or a compatible word-processing program.

Submissions should be the following lengths:

  • Novels: Minimum of 75,000 words
  • Novellas: Minimum of 35,000 words
  • Short Stories: Minimum of 3,000 words
